  1. 2012 ers can take Intermediate Grammar during jam bebas, when some seats are still available.

Another class of Expository and Argumentative Writing may be opened, in case it is needed.

The Faculty of Language and Literature (Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra) is calling ED students to participate in our Faculty LOGO & SLOGAN COMPETITION.

 

Below are some things that you need to take into consideration when designing the logo & slogan:

  • Name of organization: Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra
  • Vision:

FBS aspires to be one of the national leading research faculties/institutions recognized for its professional contribution and dedication to the community in the field of language, language education, literature, and culture by 2020.

  • Mission:

- To advance intellectual and social conditions in Indonesia through quality program in teaching, research, and community service in the field of language, language education, literature, and culture.
- To provide an intellectually, rich, collaborative, and intimate learning environment for students, faculty, and staff, while serving local, regional, and national communities.
- To be a leader in the creation and synthesis of knowledge in the area of Second Language Education, literature, and language and culture for the benefits of current and future generations.

  • Target audience: High school students, FBS students & parents
  • Display: website, merchandise, advertisements, etc.

 

DETAILS FOR THE LOGO

  1. Things we want to communicate through the logo:
    1. FBS vision & mission
    2. The year FBS was established (2001)
  2. Style & concept:
    1. Contains: FBS and UKSW and the year FBS was established
    2. Color: Dominant color is turquoise green (faculty color). A combination of other colors is possible (no degradation of colors, max. 3 colors).
  3. Submission procedure:
    1. Submit a soft file in a CD:
      1. Format: bmp.
      2. Size: ± 10 MB
      3. Provide also the original file
    2. Submit a printed version of the logo:
      1. Full color
      2. On an A4 paper
    3. Include your personal details, including your name, student number, email, and contact number.
    4. Submit these to Sesilia Rani’s box (No. 50) in a closed envelope with ‘FBS LOGO COMPETITION’ written on it.


DETAILS FOR THE SLOGAN

  1. Accommodate FBS vision & mission
  2. Length: max. 12 words
  3. Eye catching
  4. Easy to remember
  5. Submission procedure:
    1. Submit a printed version of the slogan on an A4 paper
    2. Include your personal details, including your name, student number, email, and contact number.
    3. Submit these to Sesilia Rani’s box (No. 50) in a closed envelope with ‘FBS SLOGAN COMPETITION’ written on it.

 

SELECTION PROCEDURE:

  1. Submit the logo/slogan by Friday, April 20, 2012.
  2. The submitted logo & slogan will be short listed according to the requirements.
  3. FBS Promotion team will narrow them down to the 5 finalists.
  4. The 5 logos & slogans will be announced to FBS Facebook. Those who follow FBS Facebook may vote by clicking ‘like’            for the chosen logos & slogans. The result will be considered in the final decision.
  5. The final decision will be discussed in FBS Staff Meeting on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
  6. The announcement of the winner will be on Monday, May 21, 2012.

WHAT YOU WILL GET BY JOINING THE COMPETITION:

  1. The 5 finalists will get certificates (this can decorate your CV J).
  2. The winners will be known as the FBS logo & slogan creators.
  3. The winners will be featured in the FBS website & Access Magazine as the FBS logo & slogan creators.
  4. The winners will get a reward of 12 credits (12 SKS) for Semester I/2012-2013.

 

NOTE:

  • You may choose to join only the LOGO COMPETITION or SLOGAN COMPETITION, but you may also join BOTH.
  • You may send more than one logos and slogans.
  • The logo and slogan can be designed individually or in groups of a max. 3 FBS students (FBS prefers the logo and slogan to be made individually).
  • All submitted logo designs and slogans will become the private property of FBS.
  • All communication from the committee will be done through e-mail.
  • All the judges’ decisions are final.

Pre-Registration 2011

Dear Students,

 

It’s pre-registration time, so let’s be responsible when doing it!

These are the steps you have to do:

  1. Open your flow chart and check what courses you have to do next semester.
  2. Plan your courses as careful as possible, assuming that you have the maximum credits as you have in this semester. If you are confused of how to count the maximum credits, you can read the table provided. This, of course, does not mean that you should take all the credits you have, since you need to consider your capabilities as well (energy, finance, other activities, etc).
  3. Write your student number, name, status (B/U), and signature. In relation to the status, be honest! In pre-reg, status is information to check the number of repeaters in a particular course.
  4. Write all the information as clearly and neatly as possible.
  5. Should you have any problem, don’t hesitate to ask the person in charge near the announcement board (BPMF or SEMA), Ibu Diah (TU), or Ibu Anita Kurniawati.
